This is our Italian style wine made from Nero d’Avola, Sicily’s most popular red grape. The 2012 has aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg with a hint of spiciness. This wine has soft silky tannins with lots of black cherry fruit. It is very complex with a long finish. Nero d’Avola has found a new home in Texas. The hot Texas summer is similar to how it grows in Sicily. This grape keeps it acidity better than most red grapes in Texas making it a perfect food wine.
